From very beginnings of a trufficulture in France there have been poachers who would patiently wait for truffle harvest and sneak in the dark of night to steal the valuable maturing truffles. So truffle farmers would plant vines surrounding the truffière to protect their truffle treasure. A tale that Truffle Hill have re-created, not for paochers but more for their love of wine. And let’s face it, “Wine by itself is a wonderful thing, but add truffle and it is taken to another level.” Mark Aitken, Truffle Hill Winemaker
